I have been trying to take apart this 5C collet lever for a 13" SBL, but for the life of me, I am stuck at this point and can't figure out how to get them apart. Any ideas? The parts diagram isn't a lot of help here. It would seem like the draw bar would come out to the left in this photo, but it's a hard stop. There's a hole in the back of the "Clutch Yoke Cone" but I can't see what that might be for except for an oil opening? There's no hidden pin or screw behind it.

The snap ring (#24 in the drawing) can be seen through a hole in the Clutch Sleeve (#22) - the part in the middle - but there's no way to remove it from here.

I don't think so. But I've never used it, so I have no real idea.

I tend to want to use things a little as is before taking them apart.

This is a hard earned lesson for me, my mom tells me I was taking apart her alarm clock when I was two.

I would bet your mom also taught you not to judge when you don’t fully understand the circumstances of another. I am unable to use it. And won’t be able to for maybe a year or more. But I can clean it and make sure all the parts are there.

Part #14 appears to be holding part 35 (larger sleeve on the right of your photo) to the rest of the assembly.
I can't tell if #14 is a pin or set screw.
Since the parts diagram is opposite of the way you show the part I am having a little trouble visualizing it.
When you said you could see the snap ring through the hole, were you talking about the hole in the part in your left hand or your right?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Or, as we used to say at my shop "If it ain't broke, we can fix that."

Left hand. I assume the snap ring holds #19 through #22 in place up against the shoulder that appears in the draw bar.

#14 is a pin that is held in place with #15 snap ring. The pin glides in a keyway cut into part #22 to keep it from spinning independently. Both #15 and #14 have been removed already.

Sorry for not being helpful.

Wasn’t judging you, just wondered if you were trying to repair something that wasn’t obvious.

We do try to be friendly here so I will refrain from further comment.
