Shars and Grizzly, Grrr...

Well, I gotta say I have bought some Shars stuff through Amazon and they have free returns. I'm not sure how Amazon does it but I'm glad they do.

I’ve been thinking about an 8” Set-tru six jaw and D1-6 adapter.
They advertise.0005” accuracy.
I’ve seen them on plenty of Youtube videos.
Bison is around $3,000. Gator is about half that and is also made in China.
Some of this stuff is getting better all the time.

If I could buy one on Amazon, Prime…..

I happen to have a G4003G with the std Grizzly tool post.
I had to modify the pistons in order to get the handle in a better position than it originally was in.
I bought a number of BXA holders from Shars and they all fit.

On my G4003G tool holder cap I tapped 2 more holes (one on either side of the original hole) so I could put the handle where ever I wanted it.

Not my QCTP holder. Mine was made in Yosemite. It also did not fit, but this was expected. My striker did a fine job, leaving less than 1/16" for final machining, as expected.
