SB 9 model A HMD V belt cone pulley for new to me lathe

I took a break from cleaning. Think 3 days of degreaser is enough. So far I have torn down the cross slide, tail stock, milling attachment, compound slide, 3 and 4 jaw chucks. I did a rough clean of the apron as I am not ready to tackle all of that. In all of that I have come across 1 (yes 1) striped problem bolt. It was in the 4 jaw that was attached to the adapter plate, I think it was cross threaded? But I was able to find a new one locally, and have my mini lathe still so I could turn the bolt head down to fit after chasing the threads with the proper tap.

I did more google-fu, and found this: https://www.rainbowprecisionproducts.com/mas52-1/2_step_v_belt_pulley

I talked to the previous owner and he felt it was a good replacement based off the data sheet. So I ordered it and will hopefully have this up and running this weekend.

Any other tips, tricks, or advice? I have not even turned this thing on yet, and it has already earned the spot as a prized possession due to the craftsmanship and quality. I'm looking forward to many projects with this machine.

New question, first a disclaimer. Concepts of electricity and wiring are hard for me.

I can get power wired following the previous owners instructions. But in this orientation, the reverse switch does not reverse. The motor will only run in 1 direction, Forward.

If possible, I would like to upgrade the original wall plug to a standard 3 prong. The length of available cord is longer (and safer?)

I have attached a number of photos in hopes that it is helpful since I do not know schematics or terminology.
