Repairing a hot-water dispenser?

I like JB Weld for numerous repairs but would not trust flooding my house to it.
Dunno about that...
The halves are screwed together, so catastrophic failure just ain't gonna happen.
Assuming the metal is thoroughly cleaned/degreased before application, there's no reason the typically impossible-to-remove epoxy to steel bond would fail or leak.

Given that they market it for fuel tank repairs, I suspect they've done the risk analysis on their completed products liability.

Is it's like mine, it's not a pressure tank. The valve feeds the tank, which has an open pipe to the faucet nozzle. If you have them set too high they vomit steam... annoying discovery

Put a water sensing alarm device close to your repaired unit.

it doesn't take a catastrophic failure to do thousands of dollars damage to your home. just spraying all day if no one is home will do a huge amount of damage. is it worth it?
