Precision Matthews PM1127VFLB for sale, would like input

It's definitely been longer than that.
They were available before I joined the Hobby-Machinist forum, and that was almost three months ago.

That same seller has (or had) a bunch of other lathes for sale on CL, including a Craftsman 12 x 36 (now priced at $650, but when I called him in October it was $1000) that is missing the compound slide but his ad claims it's ready to 'plug it in and have some fun'. Hmmmm...
Did you ever go look at any of the lathes he has for sale?

No, I did not. No judgement, I just decided after the fact that I wanted something newer and smaller.

Admittedly, I found his disregard of the missing compound slide on the Craftsman 12x36 a bit troubling, and he didn't change his ad to reflect this shortcoming until after I brought it to his attention. He freely admits that he doesn't know much about these machines, he is selling them for, paraphrasing his words, a 'machinist friend'.

Translation, I bought them very cheep at an auction, looked them up on the internet and priced them accordingly.
