Finished up the painting and cleaning of the arbor press. It won't get wet again, and if it does, I think only the mechanism will need cleaning up. Right now there is enough grease to keep it from rusting inside.

Nope, just a cover to keep dust and stuff from gumming up the works. Since the shaft now sticks out all the time it will get dirty and possibly gritty. Dragging the adjustable mechanism back and forth (the shaft now goes out to adjust the arm lever position). I'll see if I can locate my thread on the mod. It will make sense.

Ok, that was easy. The shaft on the end was the size of a 6203 bearing I think, didn't look. Just grabbed it thinking it would fit. I had an old frozen one by the presses for assisting. drilled and tapped the shaft for a 5/16 - 18, made an aluminum sleeve to match the bearing and screw. Easy The...
