POTD- PROJECT OF THE DAY: What Did You Make In Your Shop Today?

They have these crazy things in Australia... biggest dang blueberries I've ever seen! And tasty to boot!

Blackberries...Yep cobbler, with Bluebell vanilla ice cream. Wife is really good at baking those. ;) 14+ gallons out of the patch last year. We picked over 7 and let others pick the rest. A bunch still hit the ground...
If any of you were closer, you'd be welcome to pick!

Crane progress... Built the structure to support the chain fall in the attic of the garage last night. Marked out a hole in the ceiling, but didn't feel up to cutting it out yet. The thought of holding the heavy skillsaw upside on top of the ladder didn't seem appealing with already sore shoulders. The wife is going to town today, and will pick up a small horrible freight 4" skill saw, which will be easier to manage. Will probably have her snag a couple of shorter lifting slings too...

No pics of the process: finally decided to change the blade on my DeWalt PortaBand (still had the original blade from 2018! I don't use it a lot) as I saw some chipped teeth. Trying a Lennox Wolf-Band 10/14.

Got these (see POST 7,103 above) in the post this morning at 9:47am.

£7.95 Special Delivery (AKA Silver Service), guaranteed next day delivery. Not bad considering it is tracked and insured as well.

I used ac leak fix on a car once. Didn’t work and when I took the system to pieces to replace the evaporator the meeting valve was completely gunked up with that stop leak stuff.

In other news, I LOVE HAVING A WELDER!!! Fixed a metal shelf and made four new feet for it using some bolts, nuts and washers. Happy as a clam!IMG_3813.jpeg

After much chaos getting the correct parts, all of my ac components are new, including Blend USA doors and actuators. I put the dash in a couple weekends ago. This past weekend I got all the engine compartment components installed before it hit 100*. My excitement was quickly extinguished when I had mostly no dash lights and no engine start. It was over 100* by this time and I was working outside, so did a quick visual inspection and was stumped and walked away. This week has been well over 100*, but hopefully I can figure it out this weekend before it hits 100* again. If I didn’t have bad luck I’d have no luck at all. FFS!

That’s the SWAG table? I’m going to build my own. Bandsaw is temporarily in the tri stand and the plate is there for test fitting.
