Found manual for 50" deck, might be the same

Looks great! Hard to tell in the pic what cutting tool you are using to cut the square? This'll make you laugh. Was reassembling my dividing head and couldn't tighten the spindle preload ring with my bike pin spanner.
So obviously I had to make one. Couple of hours work for 5 min use!
Thanks! Drilled 7/16", then used a 1/8" endmill to mill the sides 1/8" of a time until it was 1/2" deep.Looks great! Hard to tell in the pic what cutting tool you are using to cut the square?
Ahhh. makes sense. I thought you were using the Z axis quill feed to broach each corner. I have seen that done. Thanks! Drilled 7/16", then used a 1/8" endmill to mill the sides 1/8" of a time until it was 1/2" deep.
I cheat and weld a scrap socket on to get an internal square. If I want it to look nice, I counterbore the part and cut away the socket to leave a disc containing the square hole, beveled to contain the fillet of the weld. I prefer to use Chromium Molybdenum impact sockets for this, as the weld holds up better than Vanadium alloy material. Thanks!
