PM935TS quill won't retract fully, fixed - thanks QMT

I like Vibra-Tite, but, once I open a tube, and use it, it solidifies before the next use. How do you keep it from doing that?

I have a bottle that I bought 10-1/2 years ago for $18, so old it's not red anymore:

I use it sparingly, and wipe the lip of the bottle with Acetone before replacing the brush cap securely. It's been at least a year since I last used it, but even with holding the bottle in my left (sling) hand, it wasn't too bad to unscrew. Smells the same, maybe a little higher viscosity and just as stringy as when it was new.

All of that in mind, I'd try clear nail polish – it's probably the same stuff (cellulose dissolved in Acetone), and costs a lot less!
