This little drill press is one of my favorite tools.

It survived the tornado that destroyed the garage it was in 7 years ago. The owner kept it even with the top cover mangled. He passed away and his widow gave it to me. I fixed it up and had a great idea.

This drill press wears an O flute 3/4" countersink all the time. I set the quill so it will chamfer a thin part.

It just sits there. The table never moves, the rpm never changes. If the part fits in the envelope then I can chamfer the hole. Saves a lot of time on smaller parts.

I absolutely love having this little thing ready to go all the time.

Nothing pathetic about that at all. Sure, it might not be as nice as one of the old sensitive drill presses Mr Pete recently showed but it'll do the job.

I bet you can feel the chamfer being made. :)

Very easy to control. The 0 flute cutter does a great job. Simple and easy. Definitely worth having it around.

I had a small 60s craftsman relegated to deburring and countersinks for a year or two. Then I gave up a whole basement for a couple hundred square feet on a ground floor. Anyway…yep…super handy!

Don't complain, you can crank your drill press table up and down, I get to slide mine around while lifting/sliding... It still drills a round hole, though.

Mine is a slider type. No crank on the little table. Lol.

It will probably never be moved again as long as I own it. I've got much bigger drill presses. This just happens to be the perfect small part chamfer tool for me.
