I am looking for a source to buy the screws that hold down carbide inserts in their holders. I suppose I could modify socket head cap screws but don't want to take a change of the screws coming loose. If anyone has a link it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have a link, but I bought some on Amazon not too long ago for CCMT 21.5 inserts and holders. They seem to work fine, and they were very inexpensive for like 50 of them in a pack.

There are a baillion variations of clamping screws. If you can identify the holder by part number (or maybe by the insert part number) these guys should have whatever you need.

What did you search for on Amazon to find them?

I think I searched for indexable carbide tool holder screws. Don't recall. But I did find my order and it was these: https://www.amazon.com/HGC-M2-5x6-Screws-Replaces-Carbide/dp/B07KPW7TZK/
Thanks I found them and placed an order.

I bought this set just to make sure I have the right size. Now I will have night mares about tapping threads in my home made holders. Some of these are micro size

I’ve bought from a number of sellers on eBay, plus A.R. Warner & LMS; also, when I buy a new holder I try to get the seller to include spares (or at least tell me what the correct screws are). Here’s my collection so far:

As you can see, length matters.
