Looking for a manual for a rotary phase converter

Check between the phases, then you'll get the 200+ Volt readings.

Here's a link to my RPC build, Lots of info there that might be helpful.

Checked between phases and got 216 216 236
That's looking good, you are within 10%. You can try hooking it up to your machine and check the voltages while the machine is running, that may even bring the readings closer together. If they are out by more than 10% you may want to change the capacitor values to smooth it out a bit more.

Remember, capacitors can retain a charge after the power is disconnected. It is prudent to short-out the capacitor terminals before handling them.

With no load and the idler running, I'd say it's looking good. With a small load applied it should pull the generated leg in nice and even. If it starts a motor, you know it's right!

The increased voltage is due to the capacitor output.
The readings are normal

I monitor my 3 phases in real time on my 20 HP RPC and get float until I apply a load for the first time after startup, no big deal. Under load I see maybe 2% variance between legs, and that's more likely from my Chinese gauges differing. I agree it's probably the caps' role until it balances.

Ok, since I'm running a 5hp motor to generate the 3rd leg, and I'm using that to power a 3 hp motor amd I using 8 hp worth of current?

No, The current ratings listed on the motors are for full load. The idler motor only draws about 10% of its rated current as there is no load on it. The motor on your machine will draw only as much current as needed.

Started the lathe up last night for the first time, 3 phase is strange and new to me. I connected the cable the way the previously cut cable was and it ran in reverse, swapped the red and white wires and it's running the correct direction! But when I hit the jog button it jogs in reverse, do I need to keep swapping legs till everything is going the correct direction? I really appreciate yalls help with this!
And here's a link to the second power up
