After I retired the end of 2016, we began looking for a replacement for the subdivision house where we had raised our two boys. Said boys being out of college, employed and living on their own, we closed the Bank of Dad and started looking for land or a suitable home/shop outside of town for just the two of us. In 2018 we finally found 2 1/2 acres , and built our forever home and shop. The three car garage on our old house was stuffed - 10 pounds of candy in a 5 pound bag. So I call the new shop the Ten Pound Garage.

The room next to the machining area was originally garden storage, with a 8x8 garage door. But the gardener (aka SWMBO) outgrew the space, so she now has a 10x20 in the back yard. So I cut the door through and that room is the "dirty" room with the grinders, band saw, belt sander and press, along with some storage.
