Leadscrew/ACME/TRAPAZOIDAL material recomendations

I think UNS G11440 is the equivalent of 1144SP, but someone more knowledgeable than I should confirm that. No idea if available in South Africa. Haven't found a DIN or JIS cross reference, but I've only looked for a couple of minutes.

Ok so just to close this matter,1144SP is not available in South Africa. After some research and asking around, 1043 also known as EN8 is the way to go around here. It is also known as C45 1.0503 carbon steel. It machines very well,I work with it almost daily,it is also very heat treatable,but not necessary. Thank you for everyone who gave their input.
