John Deere F935 rebuild

just hit the share button once you complete everything, it gives you the url.
So anything you need to tweak now that you tried it out? How far will it throw that light stuff you had.

Still a few things to finish Jeff, wanted to try it while we had some white stuff around, but it probably won't be leaving soon enough.
I put shoes on the front, looks like they're going to need to be moved back. At the front they swing sideways too much when cornering, bent the housing where they mount. Used 5/16 th shear bolts on the auger, they're far to fragile, will increase them to 3/8 ths. I'll add a deflector to the end of the chute for windy days, at present with enough snow it blows at least 20 to 30 feet, far beter than the one I made for the tractor. This snow was pretty light but hardly loaded the engine at all.
Thanks for fixing the link. As far as I know I have it set to share?

Congratulations Greg,
By the looks of the flying snow, your project design is successful.
Very cool.

Paco

That thing is great! Nice work.

...and yes I am jealous - of your snowblower as well as the skill needed to build it.

.....and now that you're ready for it that should be the end of our snow, right?
-brino

Lets hope Brino, Im MORE than ready for spring. Have too feel sorry for our southern friends like Paco, that don't get to appreciate warm weather the way we do. lol
Not enough snow to get the snowmobile out of the yard right now so the dog and I went for a run on the atv this aft. Its warmer now so of coarse didn't dress warm and Im now chilled right to the bone.

Have the snowblower ready to sand bast and paint.

Decided to do the mower at the same time. The spindles need some replacement bearings and some of the rollers need bushed. The deck requires a couple of patches and straightening deflectors.

Repairing worn parts in the mower deck now.
Out of the two deck's 6 spindles none of these flanges that the blade mounts to were usable. Made new ones.

Have the spindles assembled now, washed out the bearings and used the good ones,
The bore was really worn on these rollers. Had some bushings for trailer springs, so bored out the roller and pressed in new bushings.

Thank you , these are type builds I use to do before my spine problems . I just wish I took pictures to share of my builds . I would agree on changing the oil and filters , really you should never use either on diesel engines , butter off with pure kerosene , it lights quicker then diesel fuels , even atf is better. Great build on the blower , I love repurpose I keep lots of things I know will or can be used over for another build or repair.
A lifetime of doing it starting around 10 yrs old . There's just a great satisfaction that comes with it , proving the you can't by producing just like this. Very enjoyable thanks

Thanks, been doing this stuff since about the same age. Started welding at 15, never really learned though. I added some SEA FOAM to the fuel and oil to help loosen things up, guess it sat for 3 years. Want to run that for a couple of hours before I change the oil.
