Well, the Ironman hood is going back. I liked everything about it except I couldn't see the puddle. Even at the lightest setting (9) I was in the dark. I guess I could put it in grind mode (who grinds with their hood down anyway?). So, taking advantage of the free returns. I guess a Yeswelder (the Chinese have yet to solve the naming riddle) is next.

I love my Yeswelder hood! Please let us know if you like yours as much as I like mine?

...at least we know they aren't into wasting a ton of money paying a marketing firm to come up with a cool company name!

So far it seems dark to me, but I haven't been able to use it much. Turned the shade back to 10 today and it seems better, but that's when the gas ran out. Hood seems heavy, I've been having trouble getting it to stay up on my over-size, misshapen head.

Which model did you get?

Is your welding area well lit? Some bright lights really helps my welding.

I got the Yeswelder LYG-M800H

After spending some time getting the hood adjusted, mounting a 3x cheater and setting up an LED work light on my table, I really like it!
I had to play with the sensitivity after setting up the light. It took quite some time to get the headgear properly adjusted, but I believe I already mentioned my misshapen head.
