I have brought it up in the meetings that my hobby and hobby skills over the past two years has made several parts that Ihave saved more than the lathe and tooling so far has cost me . I have a few small jobs im actually getting paid over the winter. Which will start to add to my entry hobby budget..

We don't own the language any more than Deckel owns the concept of universal milling machines.

It's just nobody did that better than them, or this better than us.

Kind of like tossing a smoke bomb in the room and watching what happens. Interesting discussion though. We do go off in the weeds at times!
