Something happened and my narative didnt show up so i will explain the lathe is a precision mathews 1340T very good machine it's a clausing colchester lathe from the same factory with a different name all parts are interchangable, they my baking oven is what i use to refinish guns and powdercoat, for reference the rack next to it is 6 feet high. they you have some of my tooling, my r8 tooling, my 3in1 that was given to me (hey if it's good enough for sons of guns it's good enough for me. we also have my drill press that i replaced the head with a varispeed model works good just need a new chuck. the snap on boxes are a cary over from my days as a diesel mechanic lots of big tooling sockets to 4 inches and wrenches to 2 inches in all sizes. And my straight from the 80's rexon Mill drill given to me in trade for refinishing a rifle for a friend who owns a machine shop. Waiting on my 10x54 Mill from quality machine tool suppost to be here in two weeks been 5 months in the waiting.

Good looking shop, JB.

You'll love the 60D. I have been shooting a 30D for about 4 years now. Love it. Will probably replace it with another Canon (will be my third or fourth, I think) when I wear it out. Rated life on shutter is 50,000 actuations. I have close to a5k on it now.

Hey Jerry been smithing On and off for a hobby since about 2001, started doing it legitametley about 3 years ago, got FFL and CA. paperwork in order, Gathered equipment and started working, it is still a side job as I am a correctional Sergeant With the state Of Ca. My shop is setup to do pretty much anything you need to do to guns, except hot caustic blueing on a big scale, California+hazmat+caustic chemicals=bad juju in CA. Thanks for your Comments and replies keep em coming.
P.S. The Sons of Guns Reference was suppost to be sarcastic guess it didn't come across that way in text

Hey bill i'm using the 18-135 EFS lense that came with the package good lense that i use most of the time, for long shots I have a 70-300 EF Lense that is crystal clear as well.

JB,

Very nice shop you have there, and well equipped. I'm drooling over that baking oven right now.... ;)

I sure wish you were closer to me! I have a couple of lower receivers that need engraving.
I'm dreading having to find someplace locally. :(

Looking forward to seeing some of your work. <wink, wink - nudge, nudge> :)

yea the big oven comes in handy do mostly moly resin in it works good for long guns. And yes I get the hint I am going back to my shop today and i will take a few pictures of some of my work in progress jobs I don't have any photos of my finished projects because i didn't have a camera but will put up what i got on the gunsmithing board. Yea finding someone to engrave is a Pain in the but that's why i got the engravers tired of paying someone else and doing it on there schedule.
