Emco Super 11

looking at a Super 11 this week and will most likely pick it up if the price is right.. my question is.. which tool holder should i get for it. AXA or BXA? I will have to take it to a local shop for the slot.. i don't have a mill yet.

AXA is what I have mounted on mine. You don't need a slot, just a stud from the top of the cross slide.

Looking at the tail stock, it appears the slide is missing, maybe a poor photo?

I noticed that also . Maybe just removed for the photo shoot ?

I wonder what else is missing or lost. Weird that the center post on the cross slide is missing , cause it's a hard press fit.

I use an AXA on mine, too. I suspect they pressed out the OEM stud because it doesn't fit the hole in an AXA tool post body very well.

Missing tailstock ram and the handle on the wheel for the cross slide feed.

You can tell the user rested his hand on the top of the compound when using the lathe but the paint is pretty clean on the saddle and the chip pan isn't too scratched up so I wonder if this is a low-mileage lathe.
