Custom Bicycle

Interesting, usually they screw on, I'm curious how it will hold up. You might consider broaching a slot in order to pin the pedal to your axle.

Really like the way you are thinking outside the norms with your builds.

Thanks Rich.
I plan to use perforated metal for a grill but it is stupid expensive. Anyone got a good source for a small amount. Would it be stupid to try to make my own with a drill?

I if you have some type of xy table you should do fine. Else, just measure very carefully:D

At lowes, in the section of the store where they have angle iron, steel, threaded rod and such, they have aluminium sheets, sheetmetal and perforated panels of different types. You might find something there that suits you.

I will check Lowes! If not, I have a small piece of perforated aluminum that I can use as a drill guide. That should make it go a lot faster. I figure its about 100 holes. At 10 sec per hole that is 16 minutes. Lets say 30 min to be conservative.

There might be something in the cooking or BBQ sections made from perforated stainless or aluminum, pizza platters and such, worth a look maybe.

Lowe's did not have what I wanted to use so...
I drilled a bunch of holes.

I made this box out of 1/4" aluminum. Good welding practice.

Nice , so how many speeds will it have , seems the seat has air conditioning

7 speeds on the rear cassette. I don't plan on pedaling much! Hope to be up and running this weekend.
