Hello all,

I just bought a new to me Cincinnati Cinova 80 205-12 Horizontal Milling Machine (Mid 70's machine, I believe) which is in like new condition, along with it came about 250 pounds, yes 250 POUNDS worth of tooling, about 25 different CAT 50 tool holders, boxes and boxes of milling cutters every size imaginable, arbors and hold down clamps and in on of the shelves were 4 what looks to be some type of clamp??? The markings say Carroll & Shipley, Anderson Indiana. On the back side says C-S 100.. Both ends of these swivel and there are no holes in the ends.

I've googled Carroll & Shipley but nothing comes up under that name.

I'm not even sure if these are any type of machine tool or they just ended up in this tool cabinet!

If anyone has a clue to what these are I'd love to know!

The left end is also a swivel foot, bottom pin is the swivel point for the foot and the top pin is there to strengthen the end, nothing swivels on the top pin.

I'm wondering if the top pin has another function.
How about this?
With the swivel swung all the way up, to get maximum grip height and reach with minimum overall height, the top pin stops the swing of the swivel?
I love to find those types of vintage tools that were so cleverly conceived.
