In 2022, it got up to 70 F above normal in Antarctica.
Hot poles: Antarctica, Arctic 40 and 30 degrees Celsius above normal
Earth's poles are undergoing simultaneous freakish extreme heat with parts of Antarctica more than 70 degrees (40 degrees Celsius) warmer than average and areas of the Arctic more than 50 degrees (30 degrees Celsius) warmer than average.phys.org
I didn’t notice the difference.
Tom
Personally I died right after this from panic.
But I got better.
Given the extremely low temps in Antartica, would 50-70* above normal even be above freezing?
I say freezing as freezing is also not 32*, its slightly lower per my 9th grade science teacher.
