What do you expect from a bunch of Hobby Machinists?
Ever tried joking around with an engineer?
To clarify a bit on the Wright brothers' airplane on the license plate: The Wright Flyer was a 'canard' type airplane. The horizontal stabilizer was on the front of the airplane, not on the tail. In the picture, the plane is supposed to be pulling a banner across the plate. The banner is stretched out in front of the airplane instead of behind it.

Nonsense. The Wright brother's airplane is old, and the engine no longer functions. Therefore, the government of Ohio enlisted the aid of Wonder Woman, who employed her invisible plane to tow the Wright brothers' plane. Unfortunately, they did not have an invisible rope, so they attempted to disguise it as ribbon. See? Everything has a perfectly logical explanation if you just think about it long enough. This public service announcement was brought to you by the letters, "U" and "h", and the other letters "N" and "o".
