In Ohio they are making people get rid of their old license plates for new plates because the old ones are a safety hazzard......How come they renamed speedbumps to speedHUMPS, or in CT speedtables..??? What politically correct A-hole decided a bump was politically incorrect.

That's not a joke - Ohio really screwed that up - released a license plate commemorating the Wright Brothers, but the plane was flying backwards.
Over 250000 are affected.
They are old and "may" have lost SOME of its reflectivity.
They didn't know if they were coming or going.
I don't know about you, but when I drive, I'm not staring at license plates. This is sheerly for law enforcement's use. Not strictly speaking a safety hazard. Very important for law enforcement, I'd imagine. Dull, non reflective plates make it tougher for laser speed enforcement.
Guess they should have studied North Carolina history then. First successful manned powered flights were in Kitty Hawk. That's a great site to visit! Enjoyed it a lot.
