One has to be pretty greedy to run squeeze over boost. Last time I saw that, it was a similar explosion, but it was out the bottom at the 15 foot line. I wonder where his blower retention straps went?

Looking at the photo closely, I will bet it was photoshopped. No sanctioned (or maybe even unsanctioned) event would allow a blower with no straps, amongst numerous other safeguards, to be run.

I bet you're right; the shadow cast by the light tower doesn't match the shading on the air scoop.

I hadn't noticed that before you mentioned it. The side of the blower that is shadowed should be lit by the sun according to the light tower. Good catch.
