Nice spider!

Does that spider thread into your spindle or is it attached with set screws?

I am thinking of making a spider, but my threads are a little stripped there.

Can I assume that the purpose of this spider is to maintain control of the stock that you run through the spindle?

It looks like you used brass tipped socket head cap screws. I have seen those on the McMaster/Carr website.

Unlike most Australian creatures this one is not poisonous to humans.
Its called a St Andrews cross spider on account of the large white cross it places in the web, This one is lazy and has only made one line.

Ahhhhh, interesting. Maybe he is an atheist, or agnostic. :dunno:

How many legs do spiders have? Five, that seems about right.

Thats what I was wondering. It probably has some tiny little T-Rex arms under there that we can't see. There aren't many large animals in AUS that will kill you. It's the small ones that will get you. Check you shoes before you put your foot in!

Finished up a couple of jobs recently.

This is one of two exhaust mounts for a custom motorcycle. The sleeve was turned on the lathe and the tab
silver brazed to it. The rubber buffer and inner sleeve are Honda parts.

This banjo bolt is a fuel tank vent fitting made for the same bike. The tube was brazed into the sleeve with another
Muggy Weld product called Super Alloy 5 Aluminum Brazing Rod.

These ones have the normal 8 but hold them in 4 pairs when they sit in the web..
When we first arrived I wouldnt go out into the garden at night without wearing wellington boots and banging the crap out of them before I put them on.
