. I know that years ago I read somewhere that sharpies could be rejuvenated with some chemical. Alcohol....acetone.... MEK ??...not quite sure.
Does anyone know what chemical rejuvenates sharpies ??

Denatured alcohol for regular Sharpies, decane for huffable magic markers.

Today after work i got straight to work in the inspection pit in my small garage. Removing the concrete forms was a bit more difficult it was a bit tight to move around, but i did manage to remove them. There was one bad spot on one of the corners the board i placed there was thicker than the form and left a hole, so i got straight into action, mixed me some concrete and fill it. This side is much more wavy but for its purpose its should do the job. The hardest job should be done, i still have to do the floor and a bit around the top frame and i should be done with concrete.

I acquired the x-axis power feed that my dad removed from his milling machine (why he removed it, I don't know. It's been in a box in his basement for 15 years). I figured out how to adapt it to the y-axis on my Enco mill...

It works good... but the rapid button is nonresponsive... no big deal.

While I had the saddle lead screw bearing block off, I adjusted the backlash on the y-axis, it was at .022, now it's at .003.

So... I went ahead and adjusted the x-axis backlash down to about .003 while I was at it.

Today i'm back to work in the small garage, I'm racing the weather that is still warm. I need to finish the concrete job, i need to prep and pour the concrete floor. I started by digging a hole and mixing some concrete, i used a plastic container as a form, i have around 2" concrete and rebar on every side of it, then i broth in couple of wheelbarrows of broken concrete to use as a base, because i was out of sand. last thing i install was bunch more rebar. Tomorrow i need to buy some more sand, mix it and finish the floor, the day is become very short, by 5 o'clock it's pitch black and cold.

well i'm 118 kg (260 pound), so hanging from my toes is out of the question my plan is to mix the concrete almost dry on one side that way i can put a ladder there to get out, i'm working on it expect a report in few hours when i'm done.
