The doctor said I would hate his guts for a couple weeks. He was correct about that.
Glad to hear that things are improving! As for the quote -- can't help thinking it would be your guts that hated him ;)

Not exactly in my shop, but in my proctoltist's's shop. On November 18th, I had a colonoscopy and hemorroidectomy. I've not been much use to anyone since. The horrible pain has decreased some, but I've been taking massive doses of Valium and Hydrocodone, So I'm a whole lot wobbly trying to get around with a cane. I have to sit on a innertube most of the time.

The doctor said I would hate his guts for a couple weeks. He was correct about that.

I enjoy carrying a cane. I like waving it at whippersnapers. In another couple or three weeks I should be close to normal, but the first couple of weeks were about as bad as it gets. The men's diaper barons are making a fortune from me right now. I have no dignity left. It doesn't bother me at all to wear them.
Franko, I feel (felt) your pain. Photos attached (administrators, pull them if you think they're inappropriate) of me from about a month and a half ago. I tore my upper ab muscles doing sit ups on an inversion table this past April. Ended up with a 1 1/2" hole in my upper abs. Laparoscopic surgery is a wonderful thing. Sure hated to cough or sneeze for a few days, but was back at work a week later.

Good luck with your recovery! Next time maybe go to a proctologist with smaller fingers . . .

this site has been broke for days..any one else having issues

Is the content of the pages look like it's all there, but it just looks big and empty? If so, you might have managed to switch the web site to use the mobile version. If so, go to the bottom of the page and click the "Full Site" button (it's labelled something like that).

I manage to do this every once in awhile.

Thanks for the good thoughts. I've been very lucky to have friends who've taken the time help me with all the little things. I'm truely blessed tp have such wonderfl people n my life. There are somethings in life that one requires help with. I could not have done this without the help they've volunteered.

Franco, hope your up and back to normal soon. Doesn't sound like any fun at all. I asked my old doc about it years ago, and he told me you will never see a doctor have that surgery. Hopefully they have gotten better at it.

Bruce, that is pretty bizarre, glad it ended well. I've done sit-ups/crunches all my adult life. Had to give them up with the back issue. April will be a year with the back, and then hopefully, will be slowly getting back into my normal exercise routine. May have to modify to suit. This aging thing can be a challenge at times. Mike
