Me too. Thats why I ask the pros like those employed at the S-W industrial counter. They are not in the business of misleading people and they are up to date on the best available products and techniques for the job at hand.
 
Thanks guys. I ended up calling S-W back and opening a commercial account. As soon as I did that, magically all their industrial products were suddenly available! Hmmm...

Although they still say that All Surface Enamel in oil base is no longer offered in Canada and they offer their Pro Industrial Urethane Alkyd instead, which I believe is also oil based (in the PDS it says to thin with mineral spirits, and cleanup done with a solvent)? They say it can be brushed, rolled, or sprayed. I guess I will be giving that a try. It is almost the same price as the Rustoleum equivalent (Tremclad) here in Canada for a gallon...kind of a no brainer.
