Work holding techniques - please share/show us!

As long as it didn't come flying out of the setup when you were machining on it, then I guess you did it right.

I love creativity in setups. :thumbzup3: I have always felt that figuring out how to hang on to the work was about half of machining.
 
I started at it another way and it was looking squirly. So I had to find what I had on hand. I didn't like it but it was solid enough.

Work holding is 80% of the battle on some jobs. Some times making the fixture to hold the part is more work than making the part. LOL. I've learned lots of ways how NOT to hold things, That's for sure.:rofl:
