How does it work? Do you run the lathe with the lead screw driving the carriage, then operate the cross slide manually to try and follow the template?
The tool bit is on a slide mechanism. The slide mechanism follows your template.

I checked out the link your ebay link again and now see the detailed pics in the bottom, which show the tool broken down. Now I can see how it works. Pretty cool.

I have an old Taper Attachment probably a Logan or Southbend 13 or 14. It is the style that only attaches to the ways at one point instead of two. How does this work? I understand how the standard shop built ones work with 2 attachment points on the lathe ways and 1 on the cross slide.

I want to adapt it to fit my Harrison 11.
