Repairing an MT2 socket

I had this experience also, excellent advice from the Bob K, Ulma Doc (and others) so I won't .... After you get it repaired, Make yourself a "socket cleaner" from an old hardwood broom handle that has a MT taper that is a bit undersized. Before putting anything in the tail, wrap a piece of TP / MIP around the socket cleaner and swab the tail socket to make sure it is clean. Works great. Keep it close at hand for convenient use.

Full disclosure: I saw this socket cleaner idea on another thread somewhere, works great.

*BTW - MIP is most important paper (on earth) which is TP (on the holder by the porcelain throne).
