preferred cutting oils?

I've done a few 416R SS barrels for ARs, chambering and threading I use Vipers Venom or the old stuff Dark Mike O Thread that I am about to run out. Turning I do it dry. Barrel blank suppliers may be using 416R, somehow they don't all cut the same seems like. I use non-coated Carbide inserts with 1/16 radius intended for Aluminum on SS barrels and they produce excellent finish.

i just found out about Anchor lube last month, for stainless, it's the bees' knees.
i haven't chambered a barrel, but i turn and machine stainless frequently
i have not tried it on other materials-yet
