It affects different people differently, and can affect the same people differently too.

I've been 55 and laying in a cold puddle of sweat and barely able to motivate myself to get up and take care of business, but the other day I woke up with 32, and while it wasn't fun it wasn't anything like as bad as the previous experience. Checked it three times and recalibrated the meter and it really was 32!
