Machinist online learning? Is this a crazy idea?

I like Daryl's idea of finding already made video's that are highly rated by our members and building a database of links. Brilliant! Why reinvent the wheel?

I'm with Daryl and rwm, there are already good videos out there. They just need to be vetted and cataloged so they can be easily found.

This guy has a very good 3 part series that covers EVERYTHING you need to get started. Below is part 1 , watch all 3 in you should have a good starting point.

After you watch them, check out mrpete222 on youtube .

 
What I am talking about is the COMPLETE SYLLABUS for a course at a community college online.
You can follow it on your own machine tools.

The Darrell Holland AGI video is good, but it's a snoozefest, and the order isn't great.
Also, he doesn't cover drawing well, and other fundamentals.
