How do I remove this key

Hi guys.
I need help removing this 3/8"×1/2" key. I can't grip it enough with pliers and it is tight in the keyway.

Please help.

I think I am tired. I meant 3/8"×2" key.

Drill and tap it, then use your slide hammer

Or drill and tap then use a screw to jack it up.

Have you tried penetrating oil? Or rap it lightly a couple of times with a hammer to see if it will break loose?

I tried coming in from the bottom with a punch but it didn't budge. I will give your idea a wack,but I doubt if I am going to have success. But I will give it a go anyway tomorrow. Thank you.
