How do I cut this slot?

Do slitting saw blades come in different thicknesses?
Yes .
Are they available as a set or do I have to get the pieces individually?
Most likely individually .
f I am going to make a number of these it sure looks like the way to go.
That is the way to do it Fin .
And...I would have a use for my new set of collets for the square block!!
Yep , sure would . You have a 5C collet stop ?

Clue me in on the collet stop
As I have no idea!

So you have slitters . And you have your 5C collet block and collet stop . Insert part and slot it . No biggie . :)

So, I need to buy an arbor, a blade(s) and a collet stop is what it looks like
I see ads for high speed slitting saw blades.
As in How many RPM's are considered high speed?
Looks like McMaster Carr may be my friend here!!

You can make an arbor very easily , and also the stop can be made cheaply . You need a blade , that's it . They actually run pretty slow as they have some diameter to them . Put a dab of oil on them and you're good to go .

Or , as a fellow Cub enthusiast , I could hook you up of course ! :big grin:

You know I have those Supers all across the country . Can't beat the Habans for sure . :encourage: Although I swore I was done with the Cubbies , I have an 1812 resting in the driveway at the moment .

OK, which of these should I get?
I will be using it in the mill
