Hitbox AC/DC welder from Amazon - Worth a try?

Should I get one of these on Prime or save up 10x as much before starting to learn TIG?

Looking forward to laying down some beads.

But there's also this one from the folks who made my welder.

I think for $30 I might just start with the one that works with my machine. That way if I need to figure pin outs for an upgrade I’ll have it there.

Can always upgrade if this one doesn’t feel right.

The Hitbox foot pedal looks really clunky and tall- I would get a low profile one with the center pivot
Looks like the cheap ones use a linear pot like a wha-wha guitar pedal. High wear. I would hope the pricey ones
use some type of optical sensor?

All of the modern pedals I've opened up have had a potentiometer. The SSC pedals I'm using now claim 1M cycle testing.

I'll probably buy the SSC pedal but I want to get the factory one first so I can confirm pinouts if needed. I'll probably also get the flowmeter suggested above.
