I did our stairs in Brazilian Cherry 6 years ago. Found a pretty good deal at the time on the materials, but all the treads and some of the risers were glued from 2 parts. With the aging process, some have turned different colors. Still beautiful, but more noticeable than when I installed it. There is a window not visible in the picture, you can see the shadow on the stairs. We were worried that some of the lower stairs with more sun exposure would age differently than the top of the stairs, but that has not been a problem, the color change has been very even throughout the stairs.
