Wanting to do them fancy bolt knobs and not having enough swing on the lathe I had to make do on the mill. After some late night googling I copied someone's design.
The annular cutters are like a hot knife cutting butter.

What's the plan now?

Straighten up the end then tap 5/16-24 . I had some old bolts to practice on and finding different shapes used over the years. By cutting the top down more I should be able to indicate off the shafts to get the knob more centered.
Will update this post

Nice! Looks like a great idea!

I broke out the sandblaster and fired up the compressor last Saturday. I ran the remaining sand out of the blaster, and discovered that the "fine media" I bought from a local Supply House has pebbles in it!!!
So, I have been curious as to how well glass would clean, I guess next weekend weather providing, I will find out.

Nice job,
There's more than one way to skin a cat>>

You could always find some screen and sift it. I had to do that to some I got one time. Was not fun, I had purchased several hundred pounds to sand blast an old heavy duty steel horse trailer.

Very nice effect. I have sometimes sandblasted my steel and then painted it with crystal clear enamel. It creates a nice look. Almost like gray paint but not really.
