This topic has come up inside of other threads, but this example needed it's own thread. Found on Amazon when comparing prices for 7/16" Slot T-Slit Nuts for a Mini-Mill (yes, I can & have made them, but looking at a project):

Keep in mind, this review was for "4PC Set T-Slot Nut Black Oxide Finish 3/8-16 Threads Table Slot 7/16" Big, Bold Black typeface.

The most disturbing thing is that "3 people found this helpful"

This was the other 2 star review:

As a side note, Amazon does carry TE-CO T-Slot Nuts, but the 7/16" slot versions are 70% more than the 1/2" or 9/16" ones.

 As I've stated many times over the years ...................... " Where they get 'em at ? "

I'd ask you if you had any, but I doubt you'd have the baby ones.

How baby ? I have a bag full from MmC out in the baby Vidmar . Next time out I'll check what size they are

Lemme go out and take a look , I think I know where they are . Will report back unless my trail closes behind me .

Only "need" 6, but . . .

Are we punting the Calgary Pickup? Time is getting short (and a Vibrometer is kind of low on the need list  )

They're not expensive from McMaster... and you can pick between 80% threads or through threads so you won't have to break a tap off in 'em. If anything, spammy bad reviews are worth a chuckle and a snort when you're not expecting it.

Yes, thanks. I always get the 80% ones for table use (saves peening the bottom threads).

I'm building a McM order and have them in my cart; however, I always check Amazon - in this case (unless Dave finds some) McM is cheaper than Amazon and no incremental change in shipping (already higher than anticipated because seferal items each coming from different warehouses, but at least I know up front).

EDIT: Meant to say that McM has the 7/16” slot nuts for less than Amazon wants for the 1/2” or 9/16” TE-COs.

Hey Chazz . You'll have to tell me to look for something else and I'm sure those slot blocks will show up . I've moved so much stuff over the past 2 months they could be anywhere ! On a good note , I found all my missing R8 tooling buried in one of the big Vidmars , I couldn't figure out where they went . :encourage: I'll check down the basement tonight and see if I can come up with them .
