What type of electrical plug is this?

That's a great chart but I don't see it!

An induction motor does not care about polarity. Actually nothing cares about polarity on an AC line. The only reason that the hot is switched is because the neutral should be at the same level as ground, so that when the switch is off the least amount of circuitry is still hot. If you switched the neutral it would still turn on and off just fine. but if it is off and you go into the motor wiring box you can still get zapped.

Thank you. Walked me through the logic that isn’t obvious until presented with the hypothetical scenario.

A fairly unremarkable video unless you realize that I'm trying to make as much smoke and fume as possible from these painted parts. The blower makes a huge difference in pulling ALL of the fumes unlike before where it was maybe getting a third of the fumes and I'd be engulfed in smoke.

Very nice, you may want to pull the hose back a little from your welding area. You may pull too much of your shield gas away from the weld. A good project would be to construct a hood over the welding table to pull the fumes and smoke up and out of the the shop.

See that thing underneath the welding blanket? It's my wife's dishwasher. Once that goes in the house this spring, then the welding table goes in it's place and I can make a proper hood or articulating arm.

My wife calls it "Project Inception". Like the movie, a dream within a dream within a dream. Except my life is a project within a project, within a project but first I need to buy a tool to make the tool to make the tool so I can start the project. There is lots of eye rolling around our house when my projects are aired for the world to hear.
