What type of electrical plug is this?

Old factory trick to get you to buy their replacement fan and no one else's. Apple computer and others are famous for that

But in this case it means they are selling the receptacle too. I don’t recall how expansive FASCOs product line was but maybe was bigger than I thought?

the plug is an OEM configuration that i have not seen before.
if the motor is going to run off 115vac, i would terminate the cord with a 15 or 20 amp NEMA replacement, or connect the power leads to a suitable relay, and ground the green wire.
a simple toggle switch could be installed to run the fan too

I already purchased the NEMA 20A plug. It's just odd that the hot and neutral are swapped on this plug vs. what you normally see. Plus, yeah, the configuration is weird.

I wouldn't worry about the plug end. I would just check the wiring at the blower motor, switch will be Line, direct will be Neutral and Green ground.

I looked at the Fasco catalog, I found a couple of motors (fast scan of 184 pages) that had a plug with two round terminals (no flat). Indicated for drop into a refrigerator or cooling tower.

If you cannot determine the wiring from the fan motor side, I would contact Fasco with the Model number. Just in case it is one of those specialized motors.

That plug is sharp
Thumb injury was from working on my son's car. THAT was a bonehead move on my behalf.

The cut on my finger was from the corner of my welding table. Less of a bonehead move, but still...

on the weekend I cut myself on a burr so when I put the part in the vise it cut me again and then I picked it up to see if the burrs were gone the file made a burr and it cut me so now half of my fingers are cut open

Not knowing much about AC induction motors: How would you know at the motor end which was supposed to be hot? Does an AC motor care about polarity? Is there a standard way to connect at the motor end? I realize that it is important for the switch to interrupt the black (hot) line.
