Next owner will have a hard time and go nuts, figuring out the purpose of that bolt in there. Brilliant!!My drill press table had an 1/2" idiot hole in the table when I got it. I finally decided to repair it somehow.

I countersunk the edge and added the screw. I think it looks better than epoxy.
And it keeps swarf from clogging the hole! (I do this on purpose with holes that I either don't need at all or want to keep clean so I don't have to spend an hour digging crap out when I do need them; I typically use short set screws coated with Vibra Tite to hold them in place without locking)It's a hold down point.
