What gas fitting is this?

I acquired an old Harris oxy/acetylene regulator set that I want to convert to propane, but the acetylene fitting is different from newer regulators I've seen, same rough size just a different style. Anyone have thoughts on what it might be and how to convert it?

The nipple takes a fiber or PTFE gasket, that speaks to me of carbon dioxide, perhaps.
I think you're right, not sure why this fitting would be on here, I was told it was for a torch setup. This fitting is from the gas side, not the oxy. Interesting.

Any idea what the flare fitting end would be? It kinda looks like JIC but the flare is rounded and the thread looks finer.

I'm guessing that it fits against a seat in the regulator body to avoid having to use any sealant on the threads.

If I remember I’ll look at my set up. Switched to propane few years back

Generally speaking, propane is the same as POL acetylene, but there is another standard for acetylene/propane that is similar to oxygen, but does not use a gasket like CO2.

They make a adapter from acetylene to propane. You don`t change any thing on the gauge.
