What Did You Buy Today?

Torx Plus
Where do people even encounter these? Is there a specific industry that Torx Plus has made its way into.

I’d way rather have a set with security Torx bits than Torx Plus bits. Especially since the Torx Plus bits are not compatible with standard Torx fasteners.

And for those of you, who aren’t familiar with Torx Plus:

You obviously don't work on 21st Century Fords! I just removed a door striker fastener that the owner had destroyed trying to remove with a regular Torx bit. This is a common problem, since the old Torx bit will enter the slot, but not engage properly.

This followed me home yesterday:

A Barker PM horizontal mill from 1970.

I had seen it for sale about three weeks ago, but was going out of town the next day and I thought it would sell at the price listed. But I was checking online and saw it was still for sale, and the price had dropped, and I could not believe my luck. I got it for roughly the price of a milling attachment for my South bend, and it came with collets and a coolant pump.

And it is still in the back of my truck, as I threw my back out.

Nice! I saw that one, but have too many projects as it is. I'm glad you are putting it to work.
