What are these pins that are holding this name plate on?

They are called DRIVE SCREWS.
They have Rivot type heads and very course threads.
The best way to remove them is to punch them out from the back side or drill off the head and puch them thru from the front.

I've had good luck with either a small screwdriver or a dull wood chisel. Once you get started they're easy to get out with a good pair of pliers, just twist & pull, sometimes you get lucky enough to be able to reuse them to put the plates back on!
