Actually, if you measure between the bottom and the top of the post and the left side of the frame, the post is leaning to the right by 6.97mm. The sagging wire create the illusion that it is leaning left.

I remember them. Going up hill, the light was dim, downhill wasn't too bad. They sort of worked, at least if the tires were new.

Still a darn good idea, though I prefer a sturmey archer dyno hub over a tyre eraser.

Going up hill, the light was dim, downhill wasn't too bad.

Downhill wasn't bad until the incandescent bulb blew because there's no voltage regulator.
Everyone brought extra bulbs and got good at exchanging them, in the dark.
