While in the Navy & at a stop over in Hong Kong, I really wanted to go to Macau. But the Navy was opposed & it required a passport which I didn't have. It was still a Portuguese colony at that time. It had a reputation of having all things illegal & corrupt. Lots of gambling. Hong Kong was British and the illegal and corrupt things were better hidden. The Wan Chi (?) district was right out of '40s movies. Fantastic place to visit in the '60s. Not so sure about now.
Its a fid...he moonlights as a rigger.

Our mailbox sits on 4" sch, 40 pipe. Impervious to baseball bats. We haven't had an incident in several decades but if/when we do, I will weld up a replica mail box from 1/8" plate.
