In the videos, Heather uses a rotary table to rough in the recoil shields, then finishes up the old fashion way- hand filing. I have to say she is an excellent machinist and I love her technique. I've made several 50 cal 5 shot cylinders for Ruger Blackhawks, but Heather's scratch build takes it to a whole new level. If you're building a single action revolver, I would follow her lead.
